How do I access the network after buying a new SIM card?

You have just bought a new SIM card but still can't access the network?

If you have a new SIM card, it must be activated in order to be able to access the network.

Note: This activation procedure only applies if you have a mobile contract. It is not necessary if you have a prepaid offer.

The SIM has to be registered within 14 days for it to continue functioning, if not registered, the service will be suspended and calls initiated will be routed to 111 helpline for a SIM registration.

If you have subscribed to any offer at an Orange shop, your SIM card will normally have already been activated at the shop.

The default PIN code is 0000.

  • Insert your new SIM card into your mobile,
  • Call 111 (free of charge) from any Orange mobile while in Liberia or 0777000111 from any network (chargeable).
  • Dial *126# free of charge to find out your mobile number
  • Enter *124# to check your mobile balance

Note : If your mobile does not have any signal, we recommend that you switch it off and back on again.

If you are still unable to access the network, contact us immediately :  

  • via 111 helpline.
