  1. How to activate SIM Backup?

The SIM Backup service can be activated in 3 ways:

  1. Activation via SIM Application menu, the subscriber should perform the following operations:

Access the Orange SIM menu -> Select Orange SIM Backup application -> Select the Backup SIM contacts

  1. Activation via SMS, the subscriber should send an SMS with text SAVE to short code 2049
  2. Activation via Service Promotion Alert. After each 5 SIM contacts are saved or edited, the subscriber will receive a Promotion message to activate the service. The promotional message will be displayed on the customers’ device and by accepting the offer, the service will be activated and a confirmation SMS will be sent to the customer.
  1. What is the price of the SIM Backup service?

 

The activation of SIM Backup is free of charge for the first month, after the service subscription is 0.5 USD/month.

 

  1. How can SIM Backup Service be deactivated?

The SIM Backup service can be deactivated in 2 ways:

  1. Deactivation via SIM Application menu, the subscriber should perform the following operations:

Access the Orange SIM menu -> Select Orange SIM Backup application -> Select "Deactivate service”

  1. Deactivation via SMS, the subscriber should send an SMS with text STOP to short code 2049.
  1. How to restore the contacts from an old SIM?

The SIM contacts restore can be through SIM Backup application menu or through SMS:

- The restore process is started by selecting the Restore option from the SIM Backup application menu, as follows, Orange SIM menu -> Select Orange SIM Backup application -> Select the Backup SIM contacts

- The Restore process is started also via SMS, by sending the text Restore to 2049.

The restore is FREE OF CHARGE.

  1. How to restore the SIM contacts in case of phone and SIM loss?

In case of phone and SIM loss, in order to restore the SIM contacts please contact the Customer Care department to receive assistance.

  1. How to back up the SIM contacts?

The SIM Backup service embeds automatic backups, meant to ensure that all subscribers’ contacts are always saved. The backup operation is FREE OF CHARGE.

  1. How to obtain info regarding the service terms and conditions?

The subscriber can obtain information about the service terms and conditions, by accessing SIM Application Menu -> Settings -> Info.

When the option is selected, the subscriber will receive an SMS message containing service information, such as service status, fees, and conditions.

  1. Can the SIM Backup service should be activated monthly by subscribers?

The SIM Backup service subscription is automatically renewed every month. The service is sending 1 day prior to renewal, an SMS alert with information that the subscription is about to be renewed and the charge of $0.5 will be applied.

  1. Will my service subscription be deactivated if I don’t have enough balance to pay for the renewal?

No. In case in the renewal day, the customer doesn’t have enough balance the subscription renewal will not be deactivated. Subscription renewal will be allowed on credit.

For example, if on the renewal date the customer will have only 0.25$ out of the 0.5$ required, the available amount will be deducted from the account, but the remaining 0.25$ will be offered in credit and the recovery of this amount will be made at the next account recharge.
