How can you check that your SIM card is working properly?

Its possible that you may loose signal on your mobile for various reasons and this maybe associated to the SIM card or the device itself.

Depending on your mobile, it may be that your SIM card gets damaged. If it does get damaged, you will have to replace it by visiting an Orange store or PoS.

The SIM can only be replaced at any Orange Store and other Point of Sales around the country.

If you have lost network signal, there are a few steps you can take to correct:

  • Switch off your mobile.
  • Remove the SIM card from the SIM slot.
  • Place back the SIM card on the SIM slot and switch your mobile back on.

 

If you are still not able to establish signal, you can cross-check by placing your SIM card on a different mobile.

If your SIM card has been damaged, you may have it replaced in accordance with the pricing terms applicable to your offer.

Visit your nearest Orange shop or Point of Sale with an identity document to prove ownership.

Note: anyone who is authorised to manage your contract may also visit a shop to issue a request on your behalf with a formal letter in a company letter head requesting for replacement.

B2B customers can send authorised Fleet Managers or company representatives to replace SIM cards on their behalf, and they need to carry with them an authorisation letter in company letterhead.
