Orange Liberia recently hosted two landmark events—Core Value Day on December 4 and Cultural Day on December 5—at the Icon 16 Mamadou Bamba Auditorium in Sinkor. Both celebrations brought employees together in a vibrant display of unity, purpose, and national pride.

Core Value Day provided staff with an opportunity to reflect on and recommit to Orange Liberia’s three newly adopted values: Caring, Responsible, and Bold. Employees engaged in discussions on how these principles shape daily operations, decision-making, and the company’s broader mission to positively impact customers, communities, and the nation.

The following day, Cultural Day highlighted Orange Liberia’s dedication to diversity and inclusion. Staff from all 15 counties proudly showcased their cultural heritage through traditional attire, local cuisines, music, and performances. The event reinforced the company’s belief that diversity strengthens teamwork and innovation while celebrating Liberia’s rich cultural identity.

Friendly competitions added excitement, with Bong County taking first place, Grand Bassa County second, and Nimba County third. Orange Liberia’s CEO, Mr. Jean Marius Yao, actively participated—dancing, mingling with staff, and even speaking Bassa with the Grand Bassa team, which delighted employees.

While Core Value Day has been a tradition since 2022, the 2025 Cultural Day marked the first edition of what is expected to become a flagship internal celebration. Core Value Day forms part of OLIB Change and Culture – Stream 10, led by Acting HR Director Cllr. Supu Cole and Value Officer Dr. Noosevett J. Weah, reflecting the company’s strategic focus on people, culture, and organizational transformation.

CEO Yao emphasized the importance of shared values and inclusivity, stating: “We are proud to celebrate our core values and cultural diversity. These events remind us of the importance of teamwork, inclusivity, and respect for one another. We will continue to foster a culture that values and celebrates our differences.”

The celebrations were warmly received by staff, who appreciated the opportunity to connect beyond the workplace, strengthen bonds, and celebrate what unites them as one Orange Liberia family.
