Monrovia, Liberia – June 19, 2026 – Orange Liberia has reaffirmed its commitment to youth empowerment and national development through its sponsorship of the Emerging Leaders Summer School (ELSS) 2026, a flagship initiative designed to equip young Liberians with leadership, entrepreneurship, innovation, and digital skills.

Speaking during the Orientation and Official Opening Ceremony of ELSS 2026, Orange Liberia’s Communication Manager, Mrs. Mabel Mason, emphasized that the company’s investment in youth development goes far beyond providing telecommunications services.

“Beyond network connectivity, we are building human connectivity,” Mrs. Mason stated. “We are connecting young people to opportunities, knowledge, and the skills they need to become the leaders and innovators who will shape Liberia’s future.”

The Emerging Leaders Summer School brings together promising young leaders from across Liberia to participate in intensive learning and capacity-building programs aimed at preparing them for leadership roles in their communities and professions.

According to Mrs. Mason, Orange Liberia views ELSS as more than a training program.

“This is more than a program; it is preparation. More than training; it is transformation. Through initiatives like ELSS, we are investing in human capital and empowering a generation that will drive Liberia’s social and economic development,” she said.

She further highlighted the role of the Orange Digital Center (ODC) in Congo Town, which serves as a hub for digital education, entrepreneurship, innovation, and employability. Participants were encouraged to take advantage of the center’s programs to further strengthen their digital and entrepreneurial skills.

Orange Liberia also introduced participants to Max it, its all-in-one digital super app, designed to provide users with convenient access to digital services and promote greater participation in the digital economy.

The company noted that its support for ELSS aligns with Orange Middle East and Africa’s strategic vision, “Trust the Future,” which focuses on investing in people, fostering innovation, and creating opportunities that contribute to sustainable development.

Mrs. Mason encouraged participants to fully embrace the opportunity presented by ELSS 2026.

“The future is not something we wait for; it is something we build. The knowledge, networks, and experiences gained through this program have the potential to transform not only individual lives but also the future of Liberia,” she remarked.

Orange Liberia extended appreciation to the Youth Development Agency, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and all partners involved in organizing the initiative.

As one of Liberia’s leading telecommunications companies, Orange Liberia continues to demonstrate its commitment to empowering young people through education, innovation, digital inclusion, and leadership development.

The company maintains that investing in youth remains one of the most effective ways to build a stronger, more inclusive, and prosperous Liberia.

“When we invest in our youth, we invest in Liberia’s future. And at Orange Liberia, we believe that There Is Always A Win.”
