Orange Liberia reaffirmed its leadership in advancing Liberia's digital transformation as a proud sponsor of the Liberia Technology Summit 2026, held at the Ellen Johnson Sirleaf (EJS) Ministerial Complex in Congo Town under the theme: "Government Digital Transformation: Building a Smarter Liberia." 

The two-day summit convened government leaders, technology experts, development partners, entrepreneurs, innovators, academia, and private sector stakeholders to shape the future of Liberia's digital economy and explore innovative solutions that will drive inclusive growth, strengthen governance, and accelerate national development.

Representing Orange Liberia, Cllr. Cole SupuDirector of Legal, Regulatory and Governmental Affairs and Acting Director of Human Resources, delivered the company's keynote address on behalf of Chief Executive Officer Jean Marius Yao, reaffirming Orange Liberia's vision of connecting every Liberian to opportunities through technology and innovation. 

In his remarks, Cllr. Supu emphasized that digital connectivity has become a critical driver of sustainable development, enabling progress across education, healthcare, financial inclusion, entrepreneurship, public service delivery, and economic growth.

Recognizing Liberia's youthful population as one of its greatest strengths, Orange Liberia highlighted the importance of equipping young people with practical digital skills, access to technology, mentorship, innovation opportunities, and financing to prepare them for success in an increasingly digital world.

The company also underscored its ongoing commitment to supporting digital education, healthcare innovation, financial inclusion, entrepreneurship, and community development through initiatives that bridge the digital divide and create lasting socio-economic opportunities.

  • Advancing digital inclusion for women, rural communities, persons with disabilities, and other underserved populations.

Orange Liberia emphasized that achieving these ambitions requires strong collaboration among the Government of Liberia, regulators, telecommunications operators, educational institutions, development partners, financial institutions, and the private sector.

The company further noted that the Liberia Technology Summit should continue to serve as more than a forum for dialogue; it should be a catalyst for innovation, strategic investment, impactful partnerships, and tangible actions that improve the lives of all Liberians.
